Just in Case- Gray X Plaid

Hello ladies,

I'm usually having such a hard time separating the work life from home life. I often times find myself dragging my work laptops home (just in case) on a Friday night.

If it's after 5pm, it can wait until the next business day. Sometimes we just need to let it go although we are so use to having control. That work life controls me so much that I'm usually sleep before my gram on a Friday night!

Last Friday, I put that separation anxiety to rest! I called everyone that usually calls me to hang out, but to no avail no one was available :( I decided to throw on something quick (just in case)!

My quick go-to styles lately have been midi dresses. I found one of my favorites at Target!

Took me 15 mins to brush my hair, dress up this dress and find cute shoes!

The cute shoes were a must since we all know good shoes take us great places!

And 5 mins later, someone was down to go out. Turns out, those Just in Case outfits come in handy!

Royal Blue Crush

Feeling Blue...

I saw this bag and couldn't resist it! It was love at first sight!!!

I added these babies to my Tory Burch flip flop collection. Each and every summer, I add 1-2 of their flip flops to my closet because they last FOREVER!

When you put all the above together, you get a simple, sexy match-made-in-heaven!

What I Wore:
Dress/Bag: Target
Watch: Michael Kors
Shoes: Neiman Marcus

Hello Ladies!

I just touched down from Miami earlier this week. It's Saturday and I still can't get my mind out of Miami, hence why I'm feeling blue :(

I returned to work Wednesday and still received calls to continue celebrating my 23rd birthday. Of course, I got home and immediately got dressed for the bar (well...not immediately).

I'm pretty sure I can't be the only person to receive a text from a friend asking if you're ready and respond, "I'll be ready in 5 minutes!" (while lying in bed).

Soooooo, I did what any lady would do, I grabbed my summer go-to style essentials from my fully packed suitcase super quick!! That go-to style would be my Tory flip flops and a mini dress!

You can never go wrong with a simple mini (or maxi) with a twist... aka color block. I wore a royal blue dress with orange. I beat a record for getting myself dressed since I did hair, makeup and got dress in less than 15 minutes!

You can still look fab even when you're pressed for time!

I Got the Blues

Hi Ladies!

I hope all is well. If you work over an hour from home, then you understand my pain. Many days I feel blue in the mornings. I can't help but think about the amount of traffic or lame drivers on the road.  (BLAAAHHHH!!)

On the worst days, those days when I feel sluggish, I throw on different colors to change my mood. What better colors to combine than different shades of blue?? The lighter shade of blue (shoe/necklace color) is my absolute favorite color to wear, especially when it comes to color blocking. I have to tell myself not to wear them daily, but of course I never win. Somehow, I manage to find a way to incorporate them into any work outfit.

I often find myself motivated by the quote, "If you don't like something, then change it!" I hated feeling blue every morning, so I played with different colors to improve my mood :)

Be Inspired!

P.S.

I love a simple dress for work. I just add blazers and accessories to change them up. This makes them very versatile. For example, this dress is also my sexy, elegant party dress. I wore it to my grandmother's 70th birthday party! (One of my favorite looks!)

Red, Hot, Blues!

When I think of red, I think of all things hot; I think of love, passion or fire.

Hi Ladies!

I mixed these colors for a fun, classy and chic look. Working in the business world in corporate America should NOT be an excuse to not incorporate your style and personality into your daily look.

I can't seem to get away from midi skirts or heels! As you can see, I live for prints and color. (Especially, fun and bold colors!)

Be inspired!

Xoxo,

Honeyy
