Style Crush: Tammy Rivera ~ Green Pleated Skirt

Hi loves!

If you're one to enjoy mixing highs with lows or shopping for closet statement pieces, then you can certainly appreciate Tammy Rivera's style.  Most people think you have to spend money to look good. That's NOT the case at all. Tammy Rivera's style is a friendly reminder that "it's not what you wear, but how you wear it! Own whatever you wear!"

I love a good edgy look that doesn't break your pockets! I loved everything about this bold, effortless look from the metallic fabric to  adding booties to this pleated skirt just screamed edgy!

What Tammy Wore:

What I Wore:

It was a must that I borrow this look. It's definitely my kind of look, an effortless show-stopper look on a budget! I decided to take my look to church. Therefore, I buttoned up my shirt and tucked it in a little more.

Good Character and Efforless Looks

Happy Monday!

In my early twenties, I still find myself juggling time. I happen to be the busiest person I know! Even on a day off, I have a day filled with EVERYTHING to do.

One thing I struggled with after staying so busy is: being on time. We all hear the saying that "You are what you do, not what you say you'll do." Sometimes we just don't really understand how deep it actually  goes; you're being dishonest. You said one thing and did another. How can someone take you serious? How can someone rely/depend on you? How can someone trust you? Although our intentions were good, we didn't actually keep our word.

Since I long to stand for good character, I prayed that I could become someone that people could depend on in times of need. I started by going to church on time. Next, I'll demonstrate this change by trying to arrive to work early daily.

I also tried to keep my word with my family. For example, I went to sleep at 4am, woke up at 7am and told others I would meet them by 7:30am yesterday morning. That means I was crunched for time! Not only did I not have my things packed, but I had to drive 15mins away. When I drove onto that parking lot like it was a racetrack around 7:30am, I really shocked myself!

I'm still questioning how I managed to pull off an effortless look, with no sleep and still continuing to keep good character at the same time.

I went for my current go-to favorites: a grey skirt, white button-up blouse and a hat.

Ask Cinderella

Happy Saturday!

At one point in time, I remember myself being terribly addicted to shopping. My greatest addiction happened to be shoes. It was so bad that I wouldn't go out with hopes of saving more to buy shoes. (sounds really bad, but I'm woman enough to admit it). I literally only left my house to go to work and that was it! I had to keep great heels for days that I didn't feel my best. I can't explain the magic you feel with high heels, ask Cinderella!

My addiction isn't as bad now, but I still have a great love for shoes. The best outfits start with great shoes. I always pick out my shoes for any outfit before actually looking for any clothes or accessories.

Today, I chose to start with these Zara fringed babies! With these shoes, I know I could conquer the world. A good fringe and high heel just go together like white on rice! (Yup, I'm corny lol)

I added a grey skirt and a cream tank and blazer too. Since the outfit was so neutral, I thought it would pop more if I added a bright color bag.

Mixed Prints: Plaid X Cheetah

Happy Monday!

Since I go to church on Saturdays, it's not easy to go from a crazy week to looking your best in the morning. I woke up super tired, but I knew if I tried to look good, I would feel better! So I pulled out my favorite shoes (I call them the cheetahs). I always wear them plain so I thought I'd mix it up and wear with my plaid shirt. This turned out to be a great idea! It was so cute and fun to wear.

What I wore:
Top: Target
Skirt: Kohls
Bag: Tory Burch
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
